About St. Johnland

In a picturesque setting on more than 100 acres of lush woodlands on the North Shore of Long Island adjacent to Sunken Meadow Park and the Nissequogue River, St. Johnland has been proudly serving the community since 1866.

A not-for-profit, nonsectarian facility, St. Johnland Nursing Center offers residents excellence in skilled nursing care and all aspects of rehabilitation, Alzheimer’s/dementia care, head injury rehabilitation and subacute care. With rehabilitation suites on each specialty unit, a grand formal dining room with fireplace, a stately library, outdoor gardens and courtyards, residents enjoy both improved quality of life and the respect they deserve from our staff.

The recent addition of a Medicaid-funded Assisted Living Facility will provide a home for individuals that are Medicaid eligible. The focus is to provide a residential and social setting where all residents receive the care they need while maintaining their optimal level of function and freedom knowing they are supported by residential services.

Our new Licensed Home Care Service Agency offers a full range of services including Home Health Aides, Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy, Personal Care Aides, Housekeeping and Medical Social Work services.

Admission to St. Johnland is a seamless process, with our experienced social workers assisting residents and their families to make a smooth transition. Whether a resident is being admitted for a long or short-term stay, our staff work to anticipate their needs and assist them in every way possible as they join the St. Johnland family.
