Welcome to St. Johnland

About Us

Dear Friends,

Welcome to St. Johnland where we began serving the needs of the infirm and the elderly in 1866. Our mission then and now is to create a caring and supportive environment committed to the highest standards of quality health care. We seek to uphold the principles of human dignity and worth, and to affirm the right of every individual to maintain the optimum quality of life.
Today, St. Johnland is the premier provider on Long Island of skilled nursing care with specialties in Alzheimer’s/dementia, head injury rehabilitation, subacute care, and adult day care. The recent addition of a Medicaid-funded Assisted Living facility and a Licensed Home Care Service Agency allows us to expand our mission while meeting the needs of an ever-changing community.
As a not-for-profit, non-sectarian facility, we are fortunate that our Board of Directors is dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of patient care. They are equally devoted to being sensitive to the changing healthcare needs of the community.
Thank you for choosing to look at our website. Please notice the wide range of programs and services that we offer, the tranquil woodland setting that adds significantly to the quality of life for our residents and patients, and most importantly the sense of compassionate care that the photographs reveal about our staff. I will be happy to answer any of your questions or provide any additional information if you call me.
